Alex Watson is the younger brother of former Everton player Dave Watson.
A centre-half whose highlight was a starting place in the Charity Shield against Wimbledon in the 1988/89 season. Alex has since made over 450 appearances in the lower leagues.
Alex made his League debut for Liverpool in a 1-0 win at Loftus Road in March 1988. One more league appearance followed towards the end of that season plus a further two, one as substitute, in the following season. He also made a further four appearances in FA Cup and League Cup matches. The strength of Liverpool's squad at the time meant that his chances of competing with established international players for a place in his club side were extremely limited and it was no surprise when he left Anfield. Alex has enjoyed a good career with a number of clubs, most notably with Bournemouth and Torquay and has played over 500 matches in his career.
Other Clubs:
Derby (loan), Bournemouth, Gillingham (loan), Torquay, Exeter, Taunton Town (amateur)
