Alex Muir was a right-winger, who played with Lochgelly Violet, the same club which Billy Liddell came from.
Muir signed for Liverpool in July 1947 when he was 23-years-old. But his stay at Anfield would be only a brief one. He had to wait until February 1948 to make his debut as the club defended the First Division championship they had won in such dramatic style the previous May. Muir played four times in the League, games which resulted in three defeats and just a single victory - at Blackburn on April 10, 1948.
Other Clubs:
Lochgelly Violet, South Liverpool (amateur)
